RCB vs SRH,RCB got their second victory after eight matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad against Sunrises Hyderabad on Thursday.
RCB vs SRH Match highlights:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and chose to bat first.
(Faf du Plessis) would have been glad with the start they got, as the captain and (Virat Kohli) went on the outbreak to set their team up well.
But opportune wicket-taking from SRH bowlers showed to be the weakness for RCB, and it took a stunning partnership between (Virat Kohli) and (Rajat Patidar), both of whom gathered up fifties of their own to bring hope to the RCB ranks again.
(Jaydev Unadkat excelled with the ball, as he took both key batters and (Mahipal Lomror) in quick intermissions to reliably mound the pressure on the guests.
Finally, thanks to a walk-on from (Cameron Green), RCB assembled 206 runs in 20 overs, as SRH will be looking to get off to a burning start themselves.
The big guns failed today as SRH against RCB bowled very well, and SRH scored 171 runs for the loss of eight down in the chase to register a 35-run win over the hosts.
(Swapnil Singh), (Cameron Green), and (Karn Sharma) picked up a support of wickets each as the RCB bowling twisted up on the day.
Key Performance:
Rajit Patidar (Man of the Match): bashed SRH bowlers on their home ground and scored fifty runs in only twenty balls.
Cameron Green: with both bat and bowl, he performs well, scoring thirty-seven runs in twenty balls and taking two wickets.
Jaydev Unadkat: Get big fish and dent RCB batting with superb bowling figures of 3/30.
Conclusion:
RCB is alive in this tournament. From nine games, just two won; they need to win all remaining games to stay in the top four. And they also have a higher run rate than other teams. RCB’s next match is against the Gujrat Titans on Sunday. SRH is in a strong position with five wins in eight games. SRH’s next match is against CSK on Sunday.
